The March hut meet saw a select few venture up to the hut. In the end there were two of us for the weekend. Another member also joined us (for part of the weekend), they went up Friday morning to get an early walk in, only to be snowed on going up Elidir Fach and then turned back when thick cloud descended and the light started to go.
The forecast was very good for Saturday and following a discussion about what to do we went round to do an ascent of the grade1 scramble up Gribin Ridge. The thin layer of snow added interest but luckily there was no ice on the rocks and we had the ridge to ourselves.

After lunch in the shelter at the top we wandered over Glyder Fawr enjoying the sunshine and views and descended to the lake above Devil's Kitchen. At this point one of us left to descend back to their car as she had some gear shopping to do!! The two left carried on up over Y Garn, which was much busier, then back down to Ogwen.

Saturday evening was full of tales of previous adventures and keeping an eye on Sunday's forecast, to see if it would improve. Sadly it didn’t: gale force winds, no visibility and rain all day.
Sunday morning lived up to the forecast so after doing some jobs around the hut we headed home early; but worth a weekend away for a great day on Saturday.
