Cefn Goch Hut Meet February 2026
Meet Co-ordinator: Zak Page 13 members in attendance. Saturday was two teams: First bunch did the southern Carneddau circuit, with snow on the ground and sun in the sky. Second team did the Snowdon horseshoe. Snow; but no crampons needed (although they might have helped in places). Views in the morning and then it clouded over for most of the day. Second team stopped at the pub, The Heights, to watch the England V Scotland game and get some dinner, both of which were reported

Cefn Goch Hut Meet March 2026
Meet Co-ordinator: Paul Sheridan The March hut meet saw a select few venture up to the hut. In the end there were two of us for the weekend. Another member also joined us (for part of the weekend), they went up Friday morning to get an early walk in, only to be snowed on going up Elidir Fach and then turned back when thick cloud descended and the light started to go. Novice Outdoor Climbing Meet April 2026
Meet Co-ordinator: Paul Sheridan The annual trip to Wintour’s Leap for the novice climbing meet relies on dry rock and hopefully sunshine. This year we were again favoured with a glorious sunny day and dry rock, not having had any rain for ages. This was the busiest novice meet I can remember with around 30 people attending. I was assisted by 7 other experienced people who helped make the day a success, thank you. This was the first time for many on the main cliffs of Winto
